September 30, 2010

Today was a pretty productive day. Except my waking up. I need to learn how to wake up at an early time even if I don't have to. I really am a morning person once I wake up, I just need to get up at the same time every day and I'll get used to it.
Woke up around 8:20am, not a bad time but I did roll around in bed for a while and cuddled with Spartie before getting up.
Breakfast was a whole wheat bagel thin with 1 over medium egg, tomato, avocado and 1 slice fat free american cheese & 1 cup of Creme Brulee coffee with 3 splendas and 1/2 cup of fat free milk.
studied for Austen Test then took the Austen test (horrible test, wayyy too specific!)
wrote 1,050 words in 2 hours (yay for me!) and had an apple and a tall soy pumpkin spice frapp.
The pumpkin spice because I was feeling pretty festive being that tomorrow is already october!

Went home and made lunch:
Citrus shrimp with stir-fry vegetables and couscous. (made two servings & saved the other half for lunch tomorrow)

I was in a definite baking mood so after eating lunch, I baked green apple cinnamon muffins with cinnamon streusel topping. I really made them so eric would have a substantial but easy breakfast so I hope he likes them. :)

Dinner hasn't happened yet but I'm working on the idea of a grilled chicken with brown rice and stir-fried red cabbage.

Tonight will be more working on The Shawl essay and hopefully bed at a reasonable hour.

Until Tomorrow!

September 29, 2010

Everyone starts somewhere. I'm starting on a Wednesday night when I have a test on two Jane Austen books in the morning. But as I said, Everyone starts somewhere.
But here's what I did today:

Woke up about 9:30am after Eric walked around the room making noise for 30 minutes, but I needed to get up. My noon class, War and Conflict in the American Novel, was cancelled for today so we could work on the 2000 word essay due Friday.
Woke up a little congested, Eric's been sick for a while so I was almost expecting it.

Breakfast:
Hot Green Tea (Orange/Passionfruit flavored) with lemon and honey
2 slices whole wheat toast: One with the freshly ground (?) peanut butter I bought yesterday, the other with Raspberry Peach Champagne Jam (took a bite and threw it away...didn't like the jam)
Hard Boiled Egg (with a little sea salt)

Read "The Shawl" for the essay that's due Friday.
Changed for work, packed up bookbag and headed back downstairs.
Made Lunch:
Leftover salad: lettuce, tomato, red onion, red cabbage, cucumber. Added more cucumber, tomato and 1/4 of an avocado. Packed Asian Sesame dressing seperately.
1/2 of leftover tilapia parmesan from Fresh Market. (Ate that with 1/2 packet of mayo at work)

Took a walk around the complex with Eric and Spartie, talked about going home next weekend. Really excited! I love Tally but I do miss home :)

Worked from 2-5pm
Ate lunch with small slice of Pumpkin Nut bread (Fresh Market)
& a Diet Dr. Pepper

wasn't hungry but co-worker asked me to spilt klondike bar with her. I did, couldn't let her go at it alone.

Had 1/2 a Diet Dr. Pepper while finishing up work for the day. Also studied Austen while working.

Picked up Eric at school- went to Mc Donald's for 59 cent cheeseburgers for dinner. I had one and we spilt a small fry. (Not proud of it!)
Pumped gas into the Honda and headed home. Studied for Austen test, worked on Shawl essay.
Started to get hungry, so I had some sliced soy-marinated cucumbers and 1/2 a small publix fruit salad. (Delicious!)

Now getting ready to watch a new show with Eric and then bedtime. It's up early tomorrow morning to work on the essay and study for the test.
